Todd Garrett started Legends Cattle Co. in 2000 as an idea to put together the best commercial herd he could possibly find and breed. An accountant by day, but a cattleman all his life, he was fascinated by data and numbers and knew he could drive the improvement of anything he measured. Fast forward to 2021, his son, Colton Garrett, had a new vision for the company. With more and more people wondering where their food comes from and the increasing demand for grass fed beef he decided to embark on a mission to bring Farm-to-Table beef and other products directly to your everyday consumer. Wanting to encompass the farm-to-table approach and bring in other producers besides Legends Cattle beef, Trusted Table was formed.
Trusted Table was founded on the belief that consumers should know where what they’re eating comes from. Producing grass fed beef from their family ranch and sourcing other farm-to-table products from local producers, you can trust what you’re putting on your table.
Our cattle are raised with a holistic approach on open regenerative pastures in a low stress environment. These cows never receive any antibiotics or growth hormones. If for some reason they do need antibiotics, they are immediately removed from our beef program.
Through years of advancing our herd genetics, we have found that our angus based herd produces an easy fleshing animal that marbles well and is enjoyable for everyone.
100% grass fed and grass finished beef that is never fed grain and is antibiotic and hormone free. We have done ample research to be able to provide you with the best grass fed product we can produce. Using resources from Alan Nation and Jim Gerrish we have created an exceptional 365 day grazing program and can finish animals on high quality forage year round. For a premium grass fed product, we have a certain criteria all our animals need to meet. Beef needs to gain throughout their lifetime and need to be finished gaining a minimum 1.7 lbs per day. Our animals meet and even exceed this criteria. Our beef is not selected for slaughter until they are 20-28 months old and are at the required finishing weight. These more mature animals allow the marbling process to fully take place and creates a more desired end product. Our beef is then aged 14-21 days, checked for quality, and then cut and ground.
Our grain finished beef comes from our animals that will not make the cut on our grass-finished program. We have found some animals will not create a premium grass fed offering and therefore are moved to our grain finished program. These animals are treated the exact same way as our grass finished animals until the finishing process. They are finished on a mixture of open lush pastures as well as free choice feed on a locally sourced grain mix. These cattle are never confined to a lot or pen and are never treated with antibiotics or growth hormones.
